Elizabeth Holtz, Central Valley Program Associate, joined the Trust in June 2006. She grew up in Modesto and is thrilled to be a part of preserving and restoring part of the natural habitat that makes the Valley unique and beautiful. A recent graduate student at Colorado State University, Elizabeth gained her M.S. in Watershed Science while she worked with the CSU Cooperative Extension on small-acreage water issues such as water quality, well safety, and water law. Elizabeth is passionate about managing resources on the landscape scale, and including all stakeholders in the decision-making process. She gained great experience in this while she worked with the Sacramento Water Forum, a large stakeholder group managing water resources in the greater Sacramento region. She hopes to create programs and events in the Central Valley that will create a stronger bond between Valley people and the Tuolumne River.
