The Clavey is one of three free-flowing rivers in the Sierra.

VISION

The Trust's vision is to protect and restore this California jewel, which includes one of the most ecologically vital streams in the Sierra Nevada and the largest natural salmon runs in the San Joaquin Valley.

We believe that serious river restoration and protection efforts, strategic land acquisitions, and improved water flow and conservation policies create a healthier river for people and a habitat sanctuary for spawning fish, waterfowl and all other river-dependent species.

REGIONAL GOALS

Sierra Nevada
Protect untouched tributaries from development and provide quality flows for healthy fish and recreation.

Central Valley
Create a more natural floodplain, a healthier river for people and fish, and streamside habitats for all the species that inhabit such river corridors.

Bay Area
Promote stewardship of the Tuolumne and innovative models of sustainable water use and efficiency.
