Description:
This is a 7 mile, full-day easy/moderate hike in the central sierras. Under the gaze of firs, cedars, pines, and fascinating geologic formations, the trail leads participants to Bear Lake just inside the Emigrant Wilderness boundary. The trailhead lies at 7150 ft of elevation while the top point is at 7700 ft. The trip’s average gradient is 7%.
There is no cost for this trip, but participants must provide their own lunch (no alcohol please), water, and snacks. Sunscreen, a sun hat, comfortable boots, and a camera are also recommended.
