Help survey the Clavey River Watershed

The Tuolumne River Trust needs volunteers to help conduct a recreation use survey in the Clavey River Watershed on September 23. The survey will gather information about existing recreation conditions in the watershed including number of visitors, length of stay, activities, attractions, visitor satisfaction levels, visitor conflicts, and impacts from recreation use. Volunteers will work in teams to interview watershed visitors. The survey results will be included in the Clavey River Ecosystem Project Watershed Analysis.

To volunteer on September 23 or for more information, please contact Cynthia King at 209-588-8636.

Dear Senator Feinstein and Congressman Radanovich:

Please do all you can to make the Clavey River Wild and Scenic. I have known and loved this Tuolumne County River for years. This stream’s superb environmental, recreational and economic values deserve the protection of Wild and Scenic status.

Optional: I have (fished, camped, swum, kayaked, enjoyed, visited, lived near all my life, etc.) the Clavey and can personally attest to its outstanding and unique attributes.

As a (businessperson/minister/teacher/attorney/ retired-person/student/scientist/artist/etc.) I can also speak to the (economic/spiritual/etc.) importance of protecting this river.

For these reasons I ask you to support legislation designating the Clavey a Wild and Scenic River. Please let me know of your actions.

Sincerely,

Joe or Jane Smith
