City of Palo Alto – Great Race for Saving Water & Earth Day Festival

The Great Race for Saving Water is back! This year, the City of Palo Alto is celebrating Earth Day with the Great Race and a fun-filled festival full of activities for all.

Join us at the Palo Alto Baylands for a 5k fun run/walk for water conservation! The Great Race for Saving Water is open to participants of all ages! Registration is $15 for adults;$10 youth under 12. T-shirts are being offered for an additional $5.

Once you’ve completed the run/walk, enjoy the family-friendly Earth Day Festival complete with a range of activities including:

  • Live local musical entertainment
  • A bird walk and bike tours between the Baylands and Cooley Landing
  • Animals from the Palo Alto Junior Museum and Zoo
  • Smokey the Bear
  • Fantastic food trucks
  • Arts and crafts
  • Bike expo
  • Educational demonstrations
  • Community Tabling
  • Games, prizes,  more!
