The Tuolumne River Trust promotes stewardship of the Tuolumne through education, community outreach, and adventures; collaboration with a diverse array of stakeholders; on-the-ground restoration projects; and advocacy and grassroots organizing.

The Adopt-Our-River Program was founded to engage volunteers and local businesses and organizations in the maintenance, beautification, and preservation of the sections of the Tuolumne River which run right through the heart of our community. By cleaning and conserving these areas of the river, we can ensure that our river parks are clean and safe for all to enjoy and use.

We would like to thank our current and previous funders:

  • California Environmental Protection Agency
  • Rose Foundation for Communities and the Environment

We would also like to thank our volunteer coordinator groups:

  • Gallo Glass Company
  • Feather Raft
  • La Loma Junior High School/STAR Center
  • Vocational Coaching and Development Institute, Inc.
  • South Modesto Municipal Advisory Council
  • Pepsi Bottling Group

We could not do this without your dedication and support.

If you’re interested in adopting a section of the river or donating equipment,
