Modesto RecFest

RecFest returns this spring to Gateway Park in Modesto!

All are invited to this free family-friendly recreation festival along the Tuolumne River in Modesto’s Gateway Park between South Morton Boulevard and 10th Street.  Modesto RecFest will provide participants an opportunity to explore a variety of recreational activities through guided and self-guided options. Activities will include a youth fishing clinic, paddling, bicycle rides, hiking and bird watching, orienteering, and disc golf.

EVENT SCHEDULE:

Saturday, March 23, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm

  • 9:00 am: Welcome, and event information 

  • 9:30 am: Guided and self-guided activities begin

  • 1:30 pm: Guided and self-guided activities end

  • 2:00 pm: Event Ends

  • On-going: Informational Booths sponsored by partner organizations.

RecFest celebrates recreation and community at the Tuolumne River Regional Park (TRRP) in Modesto. All are welcome to join and spend a day enjoying nature in this rehabilitated riverside park. Through restoration and community effort, the TRRP is transforming into a welcoming space for outdoor recreation along the Lower Tuolumne.

The Welcome Booth Area will be located at Gateway Park near South Morton Blvd and 10th Street. Parking will be available underneath the 9th Street Bridge and will be patrolled by volunteers. See the full map here.
