Trail Work Volunteer Day: Hamby Trail (Challenging Hiking)

Join us for an outdoor trail maintenance volunteer day!

Trail maintenance not only improves recreation user experience, but is vital to preventing harmful erosion in our watersheds! If you're looking to get outside, frolic among beautiful views, and do meaningful work to improve recreation access in the Stanislaus National Forest, these days are for you! Volunteers will work with TRT staff to trim back overgrown brush on trails and repair damaged trail tread.

Important Notes:

  • Please be prepared for sunny conditions - wear sun protection including hats and sunscreen

  • Bring plenty of water to stay hydrated throughout the day

  • Wear good, sturdy shoes suitable for trail work

  • Be aware of poison oak which is prevalent this time of year - long pants recommended

  • Please pack your own lunch, TRT will provide snacks throughout the day

Whether you've done years of trail work in your life or are brand new to it, we would love to have you join us at these events! We will provide all the tools and instruction you'll need to be safe and successful.

Exact time and location details will be sent out once you register using the form below.

Note: In the event of inclement weather, the event may be rescheduled or canceled. We will provide updates via email and our website.
