Join us for the grand opening of the Tuolumne River Regional Park Boat Launch on Friday, May 10th. Following years of community organizing, creative collaboration, and steadfast dedication, we are excited to unveil this new gateway to the cherished Tuolumne River. The City of Modesto will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10am, and we invite all adventure enthusiasts and community members to join in celebrating this important enhancement to our local park.

Event Details:
Date: Friday, May 10th
Time: 9:30-11:30am
Location: Meet at the corner of 100 10th St. and S. Morton Blvd. near the 9th St. bridge for the put-in.

Event Schedule:

• 9:30 AM: Meet at the put-in for a celebratory paddle down the Tuolumne River. This is a unique opportunity to experience the river's beauty from the water. Please note, due to high river flows, prior paddling experience is required for safety.

• 10:30 AM: Ribbon cutting ceremony at the new boat launch. Whether you float in or walk/bike along the scenic river path, gather with us to mark the official opening. After the paddle we will help shuttle people back to their vehicle.

Important Details:

• Bring Your Own Boat: Attendees are encouraged to bring their own kayak, canoe, SUP or any other paddle craft. We will be paddling approximately one river mile. It’s a great way to get directly involved in the festivities from the river itself. We will shuttle boats from the parking area to the confluence put-in.

• Limited Seats Available: TRT is offering 14 seats in canoes for those without their own boat. Due to limited availability, please sign up early here to reserve your spot. 

• Alternate Participation: If paddling isn't for you, feel free to bike or walk along the adjacent river path and join the ceremony at the boat launch. It is approximately one mile from the parking area to the launch.
