We will be working with the Groveland Trail Heads to help clear a trail for the new mountain bike trail system being installed in the Stanislaus National Forest, at the Ferretti Non-Motorized Trail System!
The project will replace unplanned and unmanaged trails prone to erosion and degradation and replace them with carefully designed
trails that are more stable.
Join us as we work to responsibly improve access to the outdoors!
Key Event Info:
We will caravan in from the Groveland Ranger Station, after a brief circle up. The site location is about a 15-minute drive from there.
We will rendezvous at 9 am and return by no later than 4 pm.
Work tasks will be moderately strenuous and the terrain will be uneven and sloped. Expect to walk up to one mile.
Please bring with you your own work gloves, water bottles, lunch, work boots, work clothes (long sleeves recommended), and sun protection. There may be poison oak on-site, we will work to avoid it and talk about safety measures.
This volunteer event is a great way to give back to the community, meet other folks who enjoy the outdoors, and get outside!
RSVP Required:
Please RSVP for the event by November 4th.
Attendance will be limited to a maximum of 7 volunteers!
To RSVP or for any questions, please email Julia, at julia@tuolumne.org.
Due to medical concerns of supervising staff on this project, we are asking that all participants are vaccinated. We will provide further guidelines for the event to protect health and safety, once you sign up to attend.
This event is made possible through grant support from the National Wilderness Stewardship Alliance - developing a growing network of volunteer-based organizations to provide stewardship for America's enduring resource of wilderness.
