Lunch Chat: The Importance of Floodplains

Floodplains provide critical habitat for a large diversity of plants and animals, both on land and in the water. Many of these species are endangered or threatened, such as Chinook Salmon that rely on floodplains during the early stages of their life.

We are bringing floodplains in the Tuolumne watershed back to health by improving the surrounding riparian forest, purifying stormwater runoff, reducing the amount of pollution that enters the Tuolumne, and so much more!

Join us for a Lunch Chat on February 23rd with TRT’s Habitat Restoration Specialist, Sara Sacks, to learn more about floodplains and our efforts to restore them!
