Woods Creek Yellow Iris Removal

Please join the Chicken Ranch Rancheria Me-Wuk Indians of California and the Me-Wuk Tribes of Tuolumne County in their 2nd annual “Honoring Mother Earth” celebration this Earth Day weekend!

Spend a rewarding afternoon with fellow community members at Woods Creek Rotary Park as we work together to remove the invasive Yellow Flag Iris. This species poses a threat to our native plants and aquatic habitats, and your volunteer efforts will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and beauty of our natural surroundings.

Whether you're an experienced volunteer or new to environmental conservation, we welcome your enthusiasm and support. There's no need to sign up in advance—just show up ready to make a difference. We recommend wearing comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes.

Your participation not only contributes to the preservation of our local ecosystem but also offers a great opportunity to meet like-minded individuals committed to making a positive impact.

We look forward to seeing you there and making a collective effort towards a greener, healthier environment. Let's come together and give back to the planet that gives us so much!
