Leonel Solorio
Forest Operations Specialist I
Born and raised in California, Leonel developed an interest in conservation and outdoor field work after attending UC Berkeley's Forestry Summer Camp and evacuating from the 2021 Dixie Fire. Leonel joined the Tuolumne River Trust as a Sierra Nevada Restoration Specialist in 2023 and now joins as a Forest Operations Specialist.
He looks forward to projecting our local communities and the health of our forest. He is excited to deepen his understanding of the Sierra Nevada's plant, animal, and fungi communities. As a newcomer to outdoor recreation, Leonel loves to experiment with camping, backpacking, rafting, biking, and rock climbing.
