Overview: This 3.4-mile trail crosses from the Stanislaus National Forest into Yosemite National Park. The trailhead is accessed off of Highway 120 on Evergreen Road. Over a mild 200 feet of elevation gain, the trail passes through shady forest and brings you to the base of the 45-foot Carlon Falls. There is also a trail that continues up and around the falls, where you can enjoy a quieter section of the trail.

Notes: The distance and mellow elevation gain of this trail make it a great option for the whole family. The pools above and below the falls are great for swimming. Since the trail is located mostly within Yosemite National Park, dogs are not allowed.

Season: April through October
